SADAOC stands for the French acronym of
Sustainable Food Security in Central West Africa (Sécurité Alimentaire
Durable en Afrique de l'Ouest Centrale).
It is a sub-regional organization which
undertakes a series of policy-oriented research and dialogue activities
through its National Réseaux comprised of multidisciplinary alliances of
research institutes, universities, government institutions and
non-governmental organizations, all of which are concerned with food
security in West Africa. The National Réseaux of the five member-countries
situated in Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Togo constitute the
Regional or International Réseau known as Réseau SADAOC.
